Product
Overview and Description
HealthOffice 2000 is the most technically advanced student health
information software available on the market today. Running stand-alone
on Microsoft Windows, or utilizing either MSDE to network smaller
school systems, or SQL for larger ones, HealthOffice offers security,
portability and user-friendly state of the art solutions for school
nurses-all from your desktop or laptop PC!
HealthOffice
2000 makes it easy to record complete and precise information about
every office visit screening or incident. Problem, diagnosis, and
treatment are all in one screen, and multiple entries can be recorded
for each. Eliminate slow, error-prone and often incomplete manual
record keeping. Retrieving complete information on a student, a
class, or an entire school takes just a few keystrokes or mouse
clicks. You can transfer complete student records between schools,
so you don't have to enter information a second time.
HealthOffice 2000 offers twelve major health screenings, which help
you to identify individual at-risk students for prevention efforts,
as well as to quickly create statistical reports for classes and
schools. HealthOffice 2000 provides complete immunization management
too, using APA and CDC guidelines. Status - Due Now, Due Next, Current,
and Complete - can be tracked and reported for individuals, classes,
grades, and schools.
HealthOffice 2000 can generate virtually any kind of report or documentation
needed in the health office or administrative office. Demographic,
immunization, dispensed medications, referral, special problems,
year-end reports, complete health records, and office schedule and
event logs are among over 160 standard reports. Every report can
be customized by grade, medical condition, date, and numerous other
selective criteria.
HealthOffice 2000 can also help identify students and services eligible
for Medicaid and other state and federal health payment programs
and help produce audit-safe documentation for claim reports. HealthOffice
2000 also safeguards confidentiality with comprehensive, multilevel
security. Every change to an individual medical record is recorded
in a log attached to the record.
HealthOffice 2000 is easy to learn and easy to use, whether you're
a novice to computers or a power user. Functions are clearly laid
out, and most entries can be made quickly from the keyboard or with
a couple mouse clicks from standardized lists, which ensure accuracy,
completeness, and compliance with legal standards and regulations.
Even complex custom reports are simple to create, no matter how
you want to sort or select your data. Healthmaster provides complete
training and support.

Frequently
Asked Questions
| Q: |
Does
Healthmaster have a software product that can network large
school districts? |
| A: |
Healthmaster
has two products to handle the networking needs of large districts.
HealthOffice 2000 Network is written for MSDE and is designed
for districts with less than 20 schools or 20,000 students.
HealthOffice 2000 Enterprise is written for Microsoft SQL
and is designed to handle districts that can go all the way
to 2,000 schools and 1,000,000 children. |
| Q: |
I
am a current HealthOffice 2000 customer. What will it cost
to convert my current database to a HealthOffice 2000 Network
or Enterprise version? |
| A: |
HealthOffice
2000 Network and Enterprise both come standard with a data
import wizard. There is no charge for data conversion. |
| Q: |
Is
HealthOffice 2000 data transferable to another school? For
example, when a student goes from elementary to middle school,
or moves to a different school, can his/her health information
be easily transferred to the new school? If so, how is it
done, and more importantly, how can it be easily explained? |
| A: |
Yes,
quite easily in fact. Students that are promoted from one
grade to the next in the same school follow a procedure (at
the end of the school year) in both Healthmaster programs.
Students who switch schools can have their entire record transferred
to the new school in several ways. For example; the student's
records can be saved to a floppy disk and carried to the new
school and loaded into that school's Healthmaster program.
The student's records can be attached as a file to an e-mail
and sent over the Internet and downloaded into the new school's
Healthmaster program. These are just some of the easily completed
transfer possibilities. |
| Q: |
How
many students can you input in the program? |
| A: |
Healthmaster
programs will hold an unlimited number of students. The limitation,
if any, is the size of the customer's computer and its peripherals.
|
| Q: |
Will
HealthOffice 2000 accept data from all administrative software
packages? |
| A: |
Healthmaster programs will accept data from any administrative
program that is able to export a comma delimited ASCII text
file. Once the data has been exported from the administrative
system, it needs to be put in a specific format for Healthmaster
to accept it. This assures that the data is imported correctly,
and that all the data fields are inserted into the proper
location on the database. This process usually requires either
the assistance of the district/school technical computer personnel
or the assistance of the vendor that sold the administrative
program. HealthOffice 2000 already has interfaces to Nordex,
Powerschool, Win School and SASI. We are working to add many
more. |
| Q: |
Does
my support contract entitle my school to have their data formatted
by Healthmaster Inc.? If not, how much will Healthmaster charge
to do the download? |
| A: |
The
short answer is No. However, Healthmaster will make every
effort to assist the customer and their technical staff with
the dataload. Healthmaster support will explain to the customer
the correct format of the data, however support will not format
the data for the customer or try to teach the customer how
to use the tools necessary to do the dataload, such as text
editing. Formatting the data for the customer is considered
consulting and there is a possible fee associated with consulting.
Generally, the cost to format a dataload is between $200 and
$500 after the data has been exported from the administrative
database. |
| Q: |
What
would it cost if I had Healthmaster staff load my data from
my administrative software package? |
| A: |
We
cannot actually take the information off of a district or
schools administrative database. Someone at the district/school
would have to export an ASCII file and send it to us. We will
then create the import file. The fee will vary based upon
the condition of their data from the administrative database.
The cost averages around $200 per site. |
| Q: |
Can
I manipulate the access database in HealthOffice 2000 to run
my own reports? |
| A: |
Yes!
Standard with HealthOffice 2000 is a report generated that
contains over 160 standard reports and the ability to customize
many of these reports using different criteria settings. This
means that literally hundreds of reports can be created from
the program. If a customer cannot generate the exact report
he/she wants from the HealthOffice 2000 program, please notify
Healthmaster Inc. Suggested reports, as well as other program
enhancements are how Healthmaster keeps our software programs
"nurse friendly". |
| Q: |
Do
I have to renew my yearly user support after my free year
is expired? |
| A: |
Of
course we highly recommend that our customers continue Healthmaster
Support. It allows the comfort of knowing there will be someone
available to answer your questions as they arise. Also any
error corrections and program updates are sent in the form
of "new releases" as part of the support contract.
Customers are automatically billed one-month prior to support
expiration. |
| Q: |
Can
I bill insurance from any of the Healthmaster products? |
| A: |
Healthmaster
is not a billing program. It does accumulate what we believe
to be the necessary items required for billing. Customers
will need to check what elements are required by their individual
insurance agencies. |
| Q: |
Will
I be able to schedule immunizations that will be expiring? |
| A: |
You
can "schedule" anything including appointments,
meetings, medications, etc. |
| Q: |
Will
Healthmaster ever create a program compatible with Macintosh
computers? |
| A: |
Since
Windows based programs comprise over 90% of the market; it
was decided several years ago to expend our efforts on IBM
compatible computers. It is our experience that school districts,
at this time, are updating their computer hardware with IBM
compatible computers. We do not intend to do a Mac version. |
