Introduction
Motorola Professional Two-Way Radios allow coaches, trainers, administrators,
and other staff to communicate instantly over extended distances. They may
be used to allow professional personnel to improve response times in an
emergency situation, instantly call for equipment and supplies, and coordinate
tasks with custodians, groundskeepers and managers. These are just a few
of the tasks that can be accomplished more efficiently with the use of Motorola
radios.

Product
Overview and Description
The Spirit GT Radio is Motorola's
newest and smallest two-way radio. It is a one-watt, one-channel UHF radio
with eight built-in frequencies. It is intended for use inside structures
up to 200,000 square feet. It has an outside range of up to four miles in
level, unobstructed areas or one and half miles where buildings are present.
The unit weighs only seven ounces, and has dimensions of three and eight
tenths, by two and half, by one and two tenths inches. The Motorola Spirit
GT has 38 privacy codes with coded squelch to eliminate interference. It
screens out other users, so that the operator only hears calls meant for
him or her. The radio also has an audio accessory jack with built-in voice
activation.
The NiCad battery
used in the Motorola Spirit GT lasts up to eight hours. It requires an
initial charge of sixteen hours and thereafter only requires ten hours
for a full recharge. The radio emits a beeping sound when the battery
requires recharging. The manufacturer does suggest replacing the battery
every twelve to eighteen months for optimum performance.
The Motorola Spirit
GT Radio comes complete with a rechargeable battery, a spring action belt
clip, and a plug-in charger.
